AEROSIL® 200 is a hydrophilic fumed silica produced by Evonik Industries. It is widely used across industries for its thickening, thixotropic, and anti-caking properties.

• AEROSIL 200 is hydrophilic, meaning it mixes well with polar solvents (like water, alcohols).

• For non-polar systems (like oils), hydrophobic grades (e.g. AEROSIL R 972) are better suited.

• Fine dust → Use proper dust masks and ventilation.

• Hygroscopic → Store in dry conditions.

• Agglomerates may need high-shear dispersion to fully activate.
